I graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Psychology. I currently work as a Technical Consultant for a boutique consulting firm in San Francisco that focuses on website performance monitoring. I joined SHPE at the beginning of 2016 and decided to run for a board position after immediately identifying with SHPE’s mission to empower the Hispanic community to pursue and excel in careers in STEM. As Vice President, I wish to contribute to strengthening chapter operations so that we can further spread SHPE’s mission. Outside of SHPE I enjoy reading, hiking, traveling and spending time with friends and family. I am very excited for a productive and fun year ahead!

I graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering from CSU Sacramento. I work for PG&E in SF as an Associate Distribution Planner. I've been a part of SHPE since 2009. Just like many of the other board members, SHPE has been a major part of my professional life. It's an honor to be part of this year's board. I can't wait to see our goals for this year come into play.

I graduated from San Francisco State University in 2015 with a B.S in Business Administration (emphasis in Finance). I officially became a member of SHPE in November 2016 but have followed the group and attended events occasionally since December 2015. Professionally, I work as the Travel & Expense Manager at Zendesk, a customer service software company. Although I don't work in STEM, I'm a huge advocate of Latino empowerment and helping others develop & reach their goals - both personally and professionally. Outside of SHPE I am also a member of ALPFA, enjoy traveling and love dancing to all genres of Latin music.

Stacy Saenz

Membership Development Coordinator

My name is Stacy Saenz, a recent graduate from CSU Sacramento in Civil Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. I work at Clark Construction LLC as an Engineer in Acquisitions. I have been an active member of the student chapter since 2010 with a wide range of leadership roles. My leadership roles have ranged from leading a committee to establishing a Jr Chapter to being part of the Executive Board. With every leadership role, I have learned more from the people I have met than by experiences in that role. I am a true advocate of the key concept that SHPE was based on-- networking. Creating those connects with individuals with similar goals, aspirations, and dreams is what makes this organization really feel like a familia. As Membership Development Coordinator I want to continue to develop that sense of familia for the SFBA Chapter.

I’m an Assistant Project Manager and Estimator with Evans Brothers, Inc. I graduated from CSU Sacramento with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. I have been a SHPE member since 2002. SHPE has opened the door to many opportunities during both my college and professional career. As a professional I have held many executive board roles in my previous professional chapter, in Sacramento. There held the role as; Outreach Coordinator, Secretary, and Vice President (3 years). I know the impact SHPE has and I want to continue to help promote its mission with our community and encourage future generations to pursue their passions. I look forward to continuing old relationships with the community and establishing new ones, where we can continue to be a resource for those seeking [email protected] in STEM.
