Come join SHPE SFBA and get an up-close detailed look at the construction process during a walking tour of a Turner project - UCSF Oakland Children's Hospital.
The project consists of the construction of a second outpatient clinic. When it is finished, the six-story, 89,000-square-foot clinic will connect the existing outpatient center with other subspecialty clinics.This first phase is part of a decade-long plan to rebuild and modernize the hospital to meet seismic regulations and improve its facilities. The rebuild also includes creating a new entry to the existing parking structure and remodeling areas of the existing hospital.

Join SHPE SFBA at Google’s Annual Holiday Mixer, this year happening at the SF Google Office. Other organizations, such as SHPE SV, SWE and NSBE, will be present for this great event of networking and connecting with other professionals in the Bay Area. This is always a great event to get to know what Google is doing and see what other organizations are doing in the area. We hope to see you there this year.

SHPE-SFBA will be hosting a posada to celebrate the upcoming holiday season and we'd like for you all to join the festivities!
The posada will be a potluck style with SHPE-SFBA providing a couple of main dishes to be accompanied by your own yummy entrees. There will be also be holiday music and of course the mandatory piñata :)
As an added bonus, the posada will be an opportunity to give back to our community. We will be having a toy drive with all donations going to La Raza Community Resource Center in San Francisco. We encourage all attendees to bring a toy and help provide for a deserving child during the holidays!
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers San Francisco Bay Area has partnered with Google to invite young women of age 13-18 to attend a new holiday emoji coding project at a Made with Code Party for CSEdWeek at the SF Google Office! The idea is to support the next generation of teen girl coders, therefore the event is focused on young women of age 13-18.

SHPE Napa Valley College Student Chapter is hosting a "Breakfast with Engineers" event. The event includes a breakfast buffet, a professional & graduate panel (speed networking style), and a networking session at the end. SHPE SFBA is helping NVC find professionals to participate in their engineering panel to answer questions and advise future engineers.
The SHPE Conference is the major event for SHPE Inc. and the largest technical and career conference for Hispanics in the country. Each year, the conference attracts over 5,000 engineering professionals, students and corporate representatives.
